Educational Opportunity Center FAFSA FRENZY!


The Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) will by hosting two FAFSA FRENZY events this month!

We know that completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) can be time consuming, overwhelming and confusing, so let us help!

Both March 2019 sessions will be held at Trident Technical College Thornley Campus (Main) in building 420.

The first session will be held on Thursday, March 21st from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
The second session will be held on Saturday, March 23rd from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.


EOC staff members will be available to walk you and/or your parents through the FAFSA process. 

Of course, if you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment for another day and time, please call 843.722.5509 (Downtown), 843.574.6430 (North Charleston) or 843.899.8020 (Berkeley Campus near Moncks Corner).


Here's what you need to bring to complete the 2019-2020 FAFSA:

Students
If you worked in 2017 and filed taxes, please bring your 2017 tax return.


If you worked in 2017 and are not required to file taxes, please bring all W-2 statements received from your employers.

Your Social Security number and date of birth

Your email address and the password to access your email. 
If you do not have an email address, we can create one for you during your appointment.

The month and year your parents were married, divorced, separated or widowed


Parents

If you worked in 2017 and filed taxes, please bring your 2017 tax return. 
Please note: If you are married and filed separately, you and your spouse’s 2017 tax return is required.

If you worked in 2017 and are not required to file taxes, please bring all W-2 statements
received from your employers. 

Please note: If you are married and neither you nor your spouse is required to file taxes, you and your spouse’s W-2 statements are required.

Your Social Security number and date of birth.

Your spouse’s Social Security Number and date of birth.

If you are separated, please know the month and year your separation began.

If you are divorced, please know the month and year your divorce was finalized.

Your email address and the password to access your email. 
If you do not have an email address, we can create one for you during your appointment.

General Information
If you worked in 2017 and filed taxes, please bring your 2017 tax return.

If you worked in 2017 and are not required to file taxes, please bring all W-2 statements
received from your employers.

If you did not have any income in 2017, that DOES NOT prevent you from being eligible
to receive federal funds to attend college.
